Lee Walker is Assistant Professor of Political Science. His areas of interests include comparative politics, judicial politics, Latin American politics, democratization, political methodology, and survey research. Before joining the University of South Carolina's Department of Political Science, he was assistant professor of Political Science at the University of Kentucky (2003 to 2006) and Visiting Scholar at the Institute of Quantitative Social Science at Harvard University (2006). Professor Walker is an instructor in the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) Summer Program held annually at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He has published articles in the Journal of Politics and Party Politics. His book manuscript is entitled Blinding Justice in Latin America and focuses on public opinion toward the criminal justice system in democratizing Latin America countries.
