Mission StatementGeomorphorum is issued twice a year by the Geomorphology Specialty Group (GSG) of the Association of American Geographers. The purpose of this newsletter is to exchange ideas and news about geomorphology, and to fostor improved communication within our community of scholars. The Secretary/Treasurer of GSG acts as editor of Geomorphorum and welcomes news, comments, suggestions, and assistance from all members of the geomorphological community.  Announcements of new issues of Geomorphorum circulate to over 500 scientists on our surface mail list and is distributed over the Geomorphlist listing service maintained by David E. Wilkins Boise State University, dwilkins@boisestate.edu.

The contents of Geomorphorum depend on contributions from members and from anyone who has an interest in geomorphology. Please send the editor relevant thoughts, comments, reports, news, lists of recent publications or activities, program updates, or any other item you would like to have considered for inclusion in the next edition.

Disclaimer

These files represent an on-going attempt to resurrect old issues of the Geomorphorum from various sources. Some early issues have missing sections, and email, web page, and street addresses given in them are likely to be out of date. Some dates of the early issues could be wrong. I have refrained from editing the originals other than occasional errors (e.g. obsolete addresses) during the necessary reformatting to web pages. The Mission Statement that traditionally headed each issue for many years has been moved to a separate file. I cannot vouch for complete historical verity of these issues, although they should be largely true to the originals.

If you have additional old issues or sections of missing text in digital format, please send them to me and I will try to incorporate them. Also, let me know of any errors or omissions you see in these issues.
