The Department of Theatre and Dance offers undergraduate majors in theatre or dance, the MFA degree in acting, design, or directing, as well as MA and MAT degrees.

USC is the only school in South Carolina that offers an MFA in theatre.

The Department's theatre production program, known as Theatre South Carolina, is an extension of classroom teaching. Just as important, Theatre South Carolina stages literature that serves the liberal arts mission of USC.
